Bhopatgad Fort
Bhopatgad is situated in Jawhar Taluka in Palghar District. It is the best place for a one day trek. Jawhar
is like a hill station of Palghar district. But it faces an acute water shortage in summer season. There are
2 doors,one is from south but both of them are in very large plateau. One can still see some of the
fortification which is left. Some ruined structures of palace can still be seen. Behind these ruined
structures there are water tanks. From Bhopatgad, areas like Tringalwadi, Harihar, Trambakeshwar,
Jawhar, and Mokhada can be seen.

The nearest station to reach Bhopatgad fort is Dahanu station. It is 87 km from Dahanu station. And 2 to 2.11 mintaca road. There are buses or rickshaws from Dahanu. Trains run from Virar, Mumbai to Dahanu.

To reach Bhopatgad Fort, take the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, take the Casa Road [RIGHT] and take the Jawahar Road. And Jawahar is 10 km away. You can also go from Dahanu. It is at a distance of 87 km from Dahanu.
